Maria grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Syracuse University in 1986 and went right on to law school. She graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1989 and become a member of the Maryland Bar in December 1989. Throughout law school, she clerked for various law firms and government agencies, gaining experience in a variety of areas of the law.
Maria has over 25 years of experience in both private practice and in the government service. Her practice includes all aspects of family law, including prenuptial agreements, post nuptial agreements, divorce, custody, child support, adoption and guardianship cases. In additional to family law, her practice includes all aspects of criminal defense, personal injury and estate matters. Maria is often appointed by the court to be a “Best Interest Attorney” who focuses on the interest of the children, who are often stuck in the middle of a custody battle.
